Returns policy
1 General Information
My artworks are unique, handmade or created in limited editions, therefore different rules apply than for standard products. This policy complies with EU regulations and German consumer law, including the BGB (Bürgerliches Gesetzbuch) and the EU Consumer Rights Directive.
2 Right of withdrawal
If you are purchasing my art as a consumer (not a company) and the product has not been personalised or made to your individual order, you have the right to withdraw from the contract within 14 days of receipt of your order without stating a reason.
Exceptions to the Right of Revocation
The right of withdrawal does not apply to:
Works of art that have been personalised or custom-made.
Works of art that have been damaged by the customer or as a result of misuse after delivery.
3 Products Overpriced Due to Defect.
Occasionally, my artworks may be discounted due to minor defects (e.g. minor damage, imperfections in the finish), which I inform about in the product description. Overpriced artworks are sold as is, and in such cases the right to return may be limited or excluded, unless the product proves to be damaged as a result of transport.
4 Return procedure
In order to exercise your right of withdrawal, you must inform me of your decision to withdraw from the contract by sending a clear statement to the following e-mail address: kingagbokotaatelier@gmail.com You may use the following model statement:
"I, [your name], hereby give notice of my withdrawal from the contract of sale of the following artwork: [name of artwork], purchased on [date of purchase], order number [order number]."
Upon receipt of your statement, I will contact you to make arrangements for your return.
5 Return and Shipping Costs
If the right of return applies, the cost of returning the artwork will be borne by the buyer. Please pack the artwork appropriately to avoid damage in transit. Refunds will be made upon receipt of the item intact.
6 Complaints and Damages
In the event of damage to the artwork during transport, please contact me immediately to make a claim. In this case, please also send me photographs of the damage. If the product is faulty, I will refund you the full amount of your order or replace the artwork with a new one (if possible).
7 Refunds for Products Damaged by the Customer
If the artwork has been damaged by the customer or as a result of misuse, a refund will not be possible.
